Big Brother's Post Modernist Dream Comes True

This week we have come back to Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother to watch with glee as George Galloway and Denis Rodman fell by the wayside, but now BB has even topped that as Chantelle, a promo girl from Essex beats the real celebrities to win the title and become a real star. Birthday Notes - Got a new turntable!

Last night I put together my new turntable that Jane bought me for Christmas. It is a Pro-Ject Debut III in matt black and is a bit of a serious (but budget) turntable - you almost have to dismantle it to change speed, because you actually re-position the drive belt! The guy in Richer Sounds told me this prevents any silly speed change mechanism from polluting the pure drive motor and impacting on the solid sound...or something.

Last FM,The Last Radio station you'll ever need?

This site is very cool and fun.When you sign up it tracks what music you listen to and after a while links you to "neighbours" who listen to similar music. The idea is that you can find stuff that they listen to that you like. It will even stream a radio station to you made up of what your "neighbours" listen to. My user page is at
